Talk to an Autist about Autism, Today !

Behind the Design

The biggest thing I realized after accepting my initial diagnosis as "Autistic" was that all of my knowledge of autism came from neurotypical sources. Heck! "neurotypical" was a new word for me too. If I had a better definition I may have figured out I was autistic on my own instead of going through a world of hell first.

I had a graphic design job at a local small business called, Fuzzy Duck. It was there I learned a lot about typography on the job and found that I loved it! I'm Dyslexic so working with words into an artform was definitely the last thing I thought I wanted to do. However, making words visually flow has turned into a huge passion. This specific one has a "50's" feel to it with a hint of urgency. We as a society do need to define "Autism" from the point of people who are autistic, and that it isn't a bad thing to have autism.
