Embrace Neurodiversity
Behind the Design
I didn't even know the word "neurodiversity" until I was 36, the age I was diagnosed with Autism. Suddenly, that word became one of the most important words of my life. Learning what it meant made me feel the first inklings of how I could be a fellow human and not from another planet. It made me think of my cousins and aunts and uncles that, like me, didn't seem to quite fit in with the rest of the extended family.
I've long had trouble with the use of words, so I developed my abilities in creating visuals to describe how I felt. Learning "neurodiversity" was a good start in my journey to find many more words and phrases that I related to, and the rainbow infinity symbol was something I definitely wanted to create in my own style. I'm rough, scattered, and undefined at a glance. But the bigger picture of me is guided continuously in a cycle.
